Vast dune landscapes, free-roaming donkeys, 55 kilometers of beaches – often completely deserted – and the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Temperatures range between 20 and 32 degrees, with sunshine almost every day and ideal conditions for surfers and kiters.

Sal Rei, the capital, is cozy and almost sleepy – with colorful colonial houses, a harbor filled with fishing boats, souvenir shops, and water sports. In the evening, the town comes alive: music, local cuisine, and authentic island life. Experience African nights under a clear starry sky with the Milky Way stretching over the ocean.
